How do you like your cuppa?
With the easing of lockdown, we are now serving coffee after 10.00 am Sunday services, thanks to our teams of volunteers.
For various reasons, our teams have been depleted over the last 18 months so instead of six teams we now only have three.
We are looking for more willing volunteers to help ease the burden on our existing teams.
Could you, with a group of friends or family perhaps form a team of two, three or four people to help serve refreshments on a Sunday morning after the service? Coffee and biscuits are provided, it just needs someone to bring along the milk (for which you will be reimbursed). There’s a small bit of work before the service to prepare flasks of coffee, and then at the end of the service the jobs of making tea and serving people. When you’re done the dishwasher does the hard work of washing up!
If you enjoy your cuppa after the service and think this might be something for you then please do consider this plea for help and have a word with Melvin, Matthew or Shelagh.
Could you be a Parish Support Accountant?
The Diocese of Leeds is looking to appoint a new Parish Support Accountant, who will be responsible for supporting parishes in looking after their finances. Find out more and apply online on the Church of England’s website.
Join us after the service for refreshments
You are invited to join us after the service for refreshments in our Community Centre.
For the time being we ask you to wear a face covering (unless you are exempt) whilst moving around the building, and to please stay seated whilst enjoying your drinks.
Worshipping in person
You no longer need to book in advance to attend any of our services, although we are keeping some other restrictions in place. We ask that you wear a face covering (unless exempt) whilst worshipping with us, and be mindful of people who may wish to keep some extra space between themselves and others.
As always, we are keeping a close eye on things such as infection rates, and may make other changes to our rules in the future.
We hope to see you again in person soon, but if you can’t make it or if you don’t feel comfortable we will continue to stream all our services live on our website and YouTube channel, as well as making them available to listen to later by phone or podcast.
