Posada

Posada is your chance to host Mary and Joseph, as their figurines travel around the parish during Advent. They move from household to household, accompanied by prayer, as we prepare ourselves for Christmas.

This morning we will be joined by a professional photographer, who will be capturing images both in the 10.00 am service and in the Community Centre afterwards. For those who wish to take part, we will then be staging some photographs in the church after refreshments. These will be used in the Church’s communications to help promote the parish, our worship and our community.

Thank you to all who helped in any way to make our last weekend at St Mary’s so memorable. It was great to be together both socially on Friday night and then as we worshipped on Sunday. The cards and good wishes have been much appreciated, as has the generous leaving gift which we shall make sure is put to good use in ways that will help us remember all that we have shared at Whitkirk over the years.

The Company – inaugurated in 2009 at Southwark Cathedral – is a society within the Anglican Communion for lay people, whose vocation includes serving at the altar.
