At St Mary’s we publicly stream all of our Sunday morning, Evensong and festival services (such as Christmas and Easter), and make these recordings available to view later. This means that you may appear live on camera, and your image may be recorded.
If you are only part of the congregation, and not playing a role in the service such as leading or reading, you will only appear in group shots. However, you may still be identifiable.
I don’t want to appear on camera
You have the right to decide not to appear on camera for any reason, and you don’t need to tell us why. Please let any member of our team know you don’t want to appear on camera, so that we can make sure to avoid filming you if you approach the altar for communion.
Our ‘no-filming’ zones are the pews along the south wall of the church building (immediately to the right of the door), and our family corner (immediately to the left of the door). If you are sat in either of these areas you will not appear on camera at any point.
I’ve changed my mind
If you decide you don’t want to appear on camera after a service, please get in touch by emailing [email protected] and let us know you wish to withdraw consent.
