Revision of electoral roll

Revision of the parish electoral roll will take place between 23 April and 7 May. If you are not currently on the electoral roll and wish to be, see our Electoral Roll Officer Catherine Sirrell or one of our churchwardens for an application form. Alternatively, send an email to [email protected].

Stations of the Cross

From the earliest of days, followers of Jesus told the story of his passion, death and resurrection. In the 1500s, villages all over Europe started creating replicas of the way of the cross, with small shrines commemorating the places along the route in Jerusalem – a way to make this small part of a pilgrimage accessible without travelling to the Holy Land. Eventually, these shrines became the set of fourteen Stations we now know and which are placed in so many Churches in the world.

This Good Friday you’re invited to join us in person at 7.30 pm as we travel the Stations, or you can follow the journey yourself on our website at whitkirkchurch.org.uk/stations, either on your own or guided by our recordings.

Confirmation of Adam Kelly

We’re delighted to share the news that Adam will be confirmed by the Bishop of Leeds at Bradford Cathedral on Easter Eve at 7.00 pm. You are welcome to join in person or online – see their website for more details.

Become a research volunteer at Temple Newsam

Have you ever wanted to dig into the fashions, passions, and influences of those who lived at Temple Newsam House? The Leeds Museums & Galleries team are looking for a volunteer to work with their curators and uncover new stories. If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, why not read more?

Join us after the service for refreshments

You are warmly invited to join us after the service for refreshments in our Community Centre.

We recommend you wear a face covering whilst moving around the building if you are able.
